Volley io

Volley io is a real-time multiplayer volleyball game where each player controls a single character on a side-scrolling half-court. The mechanic separating it from standard browser volleyball is the trajectory arc preview: a dotted line shows where the ball will land at its current velocity, turning positioning into a reading problem rather than pure reaction.

Move left and right to position under the ball; jump to hit it over the net. The angle of your position when you jump determines where the ball crosses. Your opponent has the same arc preview, so play becomes a contest of landing the ball where they can't reach before they anticipate it. Matches play to a score limit; a rally ends when the ball hits the floor.

Works for players who want a quick head-to-head sport without setup. Best for ages 13 and up who enjoy opponent-reading play. Tip: hit the ball when you're slightly behind it rather than directly under it — this creates a forward angle that sends the ball toward the opponent's back corner, forcing longer repositioning compared to a straight-up contact point.
